Never Underestimate the Value of Professional Water Damage Cleanup
I didn’t realize how much damage water could do until a pipe blew at our little car repair business. None of the heavy equipment was damaged but we had to stop operations during the water damage cleanup. I didn’t even know where to start and we generally just tried to put everything where they were supposed to be and mop up as much of the water as possible. After a couple of days of trying to assess the damage and getting things back to normal, I finally decided to try looking up a number that I could call to help us out. I found a water damage Orlando restoration company to call and thankfully they had 24 hour service. They gave me a free telephone consultation and also threw in a free visual inspection. Calling them was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my business. They got the repair shop back to normal in a lot less time than I expected and we were back in business before I knew it. They were definitely professionals and handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly. I took them up on their insurance billing services too. Not having to deal with insurance too much was a real load off, and it gave me more time to work on the repair shop. I’m glad I found a number to call for this kind of emergency. I would suggest that you look for a restoration services company now and have the number handy when the time comes that you need it.
Is the army really as good as it makes out?
Over the past few months I have been considering a career in the Army. I`ve read the army life booklet, watched the dvd and been to the careers ofice etc. And the booklet the dvd and the guy at the careers office all say that its a great careers choice, you get great pay and make life long friends.
But is the army really this good or are they all just saying this to make you sign up?
Recruiters never lie. The Army is a nonstop party. You make a ton of cash, go to awesome places, and sleep in all the time. You’d be a fool not to sign up.
That being said, what do YOU have to offer the Army?

Is anything good? It is what you make it. There are pluses and minuses to being in the Army just like anything else.

It is wonderful. Many girls to date and they are all thin and pretty. Good working conditions. Nice people. Great pay. You should sign up. Go for it and show the world what you are made of.

The Army is what you make of it. You will have good days and you will have bad days. You will have days you feel like you made the worst mistake of your life and you will have days where you are glad you raised your right hand. Deployments and time away from home are always a possiblity, especially in this time period. However, you can’t beat the fact that you serve your country, and the benefits. I don’t ever have to worry about getting "fired," not having food to put on the table, not being able to pay the bills, or not being able to take my wife or daughter to the doctor if they are sick. I can go to college off of the Army’s dime and get my degree before I retire.
The best thing for you to do is do some research and talk to a recruiter. I’m not going to lie to you and say the Army’s one big trip to Disney World but I will tell you it’s not as bad as some of the anti-military types like to make it.

It will give you only as much as you give it. Don’t sign up expecting entitlement and such, that’s not the Army, or indeed, the entire US military’s way. You’ll have to work for it.
That said, the Army is great – excellent training, civic duty, awesome people, lots of fun.

I had a great time when i was in.. learnt alot but apparently not enuff coz ive been out and i’m desperately trying to get back in… if and when you do enlist.. find yourself a good NCO.. stick with him and learn all you can from him they are after all the Backbone of the Army..

The folks that make up the recruiting stuff… and the recruiters… know that just about everything you hear mainstream about the military is bad. For some reason, it’s "in" to bash the military. It’s called, "supporting the military, but not the war."
They also know that they have your attention for a brief period. So, in that brief period, they try to present as much positive stuff as they can. If you go into the military… any branch… you might be called upon to kill somebody… or to give your life. You get that from mainstream (movies, video games, news, protesters, politicians). So, what you get from military sources is pro-military. It talks about the benefits, the opportunities, the adventure, the travel, whatever. It doesn’t point out that in your initial training, you’ll learn to march, shoot, swim, run… and other combat skills. You’re presumed to know that already.
Is it as "good" as it makes out? I think somebody posted that it can be as good as you make it. Some people can always find something to complain about. The branch doesn’t make any difference… nor does the specialty. If you run out of things to complain about, somebody will gladly supply a list. I remember straggling (trying to march) to chow (breakfast) my first few days in Navy Boot Camp in San Diego. We were up before the sun. People were griping about the hour and the cold. I remember the sunrises in San Diego were incredible, and the poor saps who were still sleeping were missing the neatest part of the day. And I preferred marching in the cool of the day rather than in the heat of the afternoon. They complained about the heat too. I don’t know what happened to them… but I retired 25 years later. The point is that you can enjoy the sunrise, or you can complain about the hour.

I don’t know about the Army. I was a Navy Nurse. My SO was Navy too. He talks a lot about fun and funny experiences he had. He hardly ever mentions the bad experiences. I know he had them because I met him when he was a patient in the ward where I was serving. My SO would agree with gugliamo. You can complain, or you can enjoy the sunrise.
I seem to remember some of the bad things I had to face, but it’s rarely I do so. I remember a lot of neat guys who came through. Some got injured severely enough to be sent home. A few didn’t make it. Most recovered sufficiently to go back to the fighting. I remember them all. But just the good-natured kidding.
I remember one officer who visited from their "headquarters" whenever one of his guys was in the wards.. One of his men was in traction. The officer asked if there was anything the guy wanted. It was pizza. The officer suggested that pizza might even taste better with a beer. Problem, alcohol of any kind was prohibited on the wards. The kid grinned. He probably knew the rules and appreciated the officer’s suggestion knowing that it wasn’t going to happen. On his way out, the officer asked if I would freeze a metal pitcher. The next day, the officer brought some beer to the nurse’s station. He poured the beer into the frozen metal pitcher They had their pizza, and they drank their "fruit juice" out of mugs. Between them I don’t think they had 20 ounces… but I think the officer was exceptional, and I’ll bet the kid (he was sent home), remembers that more frequently than he does the incident in which he sustained the injury.
On the other hand, there were guys who came through the wards who were chronic complainers. They never had anything good to say. Their food was too cold, too salty, not salty enough, wasn’t prepared the way they wanted it, their dressings itched and they wanted them changed, or they were too tight, or too loose. We treated them as well as everybody else.
And I even remember some funny events related to those guys. We had this officer that was a pain. The Corpsman asks him if he’d prefer the cherry-flavored IV. The officer wanted bourbon-flavored. The Corpsman, without even missing a beat said, "Sorry, sir. We’re all out. The Chiefs had a party last night." We had some pretty awesome folks working with us.
So I’m going to agree with gugliamo too.
